What to Do After a Hit-and-Run Crash in Crestline, CA
If you're involved in or witness a hit-and-run, try to note the other vehicle's description, direction of travel, and license plate if possible, then call 911 right away. Stay where it's safe, check for injuries, and avoid chasing the other driver. Even if you feel fine, it's worth getting checked by a medical provider, since injuries from glass, impact, or sudden stops aren't always obvious right away. Make sure to file a report with local law enforcement and keep a copy for your records, and take photos of the scene, vehicle damage, and any debris if you're able to safely do so.
