Florence, SC (September 1, 2026) – One person lost their life, and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash early on Sunday morning, August 30, on Cockfield Road at Tranquility Road in Florence County. The wreck happened around 1:25 a.m.
According to authorities, a pickup truck was the only vehicle involved, carrying three people. The truck was traveling west on Cockfield Road when it left the roadway and entered a ditch. Two occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment. Another occupant died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident remains under review by troopers. Our condolences go out to the victim’s loved ones, and we are thinking of those injured as they recover.
