Mt. Nebo, WV (July 21, 2026) – Authorities arrived at Old Nicholas Road in Mt. Nebo after a deadly one-vehicle UTV crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20. The collision resulted in a fatality.
The vehicle was traveling west on Nicholas County Route 013/00 when it left the roadway and struck an embankment. The crash involved a side-by-side UTV, and both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The occupants were taken to Summersville Regional Medical Center for treatment.
One occupant, 50-year-old Steven E. Parsons of Mt. Nebo, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The second occupant remained hospitalized. The incident remains under review by authorities.
