Detroit, MI (January 18, 2026) – A hit-and-run crash with injuries occurred near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and West Grand Boulevard in Detroit on January 17. The incident was initially reported near the Fox Theater before being updated to its actual location several blocks north, according to dispatch communications.

The collision involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and at least one person sustained injuries. The suspect reportedly fled the scene, possibly entering a nearby expressway. EMS was called to assist the injured, although the extent of those injuries has not yet been released. No arrests have been made as of this writing, and the case remains under investigation by Detroit Police.

Authorities are working to gather surveillance footage and witness statements to identify the fleeing driver.
