Detroit, MI (January 20, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of an injury crash Monday afternoon on eastbound I-94, in the area between Harper Ave and McClellan Ave near Gratiot Ave in Detroit.
The collision was reported at approximately 1:51 p.m. on January 19. According to initial dispatch audio, one or more individuals sustained injuries, prompting a rapid response from medical units. The full extent of injuries and the number of vehicles involved had not yet been confirmed at the time of response.
Traffic was impacted in the eastbound lanes of I-94 as crews worked to secure the scene and attend to those involved. Emergency personnel assessed the injured and coordinated necessary care and possible transport for further evaluation.
