Detroit, MI (April 14, 2026) – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a crash on Monday evening, April 13, on the westbound side of Interstate 96 near Outer Drive in Detroit.
Emergency units responded to the scene around 7:35 p.m. after receiving reports of a motorcycle down on the roadway. Upon arrival, they found the rider on the ground next to the damaged motorcycle. The man was conscious and breathing but had visible serious injuries.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to the rider, a white panel van changed lanes and struck the motorcycle, causing the crash. An independent witness at the scene reported seeing the same sequence of events.
