Shakopee, MN (August 30, 2026) – A fatal incident on southbound US-169 near County Road 21 in Shakopee claimed the life of a 48-year-old driver early Friday, August 28. He was struck while outside his vehicle around 1:59 a.m.
The driver, identified as Abdulahi Mohamed Siad of Minneapolis, had stopped his 2025 Nissan Rogue on the right shoulder. He exited the vehicle and was struck by a southbound 2014 BMW X5, according to the report. The BMW was driven by 18-year-old Fabian Mauricio Ventura of Shakopee. He was not injured, and three passengers in the Nissan were also reported uninjured.
