Why Intersection Crashes Usually Lead to Traffic Disruption
When vehicles collide at busy intersections, traffic flow is sometimes interrupted as emergency crews secure the area and remove debris. Even when only one person is injured, the damage can block lanes and require temporary detours.
Intersections like US 15-501 and Carolina Green Pkwy carry steady vehicle movement throughout the day, which increases the likelihood of turning and crossing conflicts. Investigators typically examine vehicle positions, traffic control devices, and sightlines to determine how the crash occurred. These factors help piece together how drivers entered the intersection and why the collision took place.
