Shamokin Dam, PA (September 12, 2026) – One person died after a pickup truck ran a red light and struck another vehicle on Thursday morning in Shamokin Dam. The crash occurred at the intersection of North Susquehanna Trail and Route 147.
The pickup was traveling north on North Susquehanna Trail when it failed to stop at a red light. It entered the intersection and struck another vehicle traveling through on a green light.
The pickup driver was not hurt. The driver of the other vehicle died at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remain under investigation.
