Greene County, MO (June 14, 2026) – A vehicle driver was killed, and a child passenger was left in a critical state following a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon on US-60 in Greene County.
Officials stated that the crash occurred at approximately 12:37 p.m., 3.75 miles east of Springfield. Crash details stated that a 2018 Ford Edge traveling westbound crossed into the path of a 1998 Kenworth W900, resulting in a crash in which the truck struck the driver’s side of the SUV.
Officers responded to the scene and transported the SUV driver, a 77-year-old woman from Nixa, Missouri, to Cox South Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. A 12-year-old female passenger in the SUV sustained serious injuries and was also taken to Cox South Hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed the Ford Edge sustained total damage, while the semi-truck received minor damage and was towed from the scene. The collision is still being looked into by officials.
