How Overturned Vehicle Crashes Are Handled
Vehicle rollovers can create challenging conditions because occupants may become trapped or vehicles may come to rest in unstable positions. Emergency crews may need to carefully assess the scene before removing people and making the area safe.
Factors such as vehicle speed, roadway design, driver actions, and the point of impact can influence whether a vehicle overturns. Investigators may review crash evidence, vehicle damage, and surrounding conditions to better understand how the incident occurred.
