Phoenix, AZ (September 7, 2026) – A man was critically injured, and another man was hurt after two vehicles collided in north Phoenix early on Saturday, September 5, at about 1 a.m. near 7th Avenue and Bell Road.

One male driver had to be extricated from his vehicle before being taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other male driver also went to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The police said the second driver was processed but not arrested for suspected DUI at that time. This is a developing story.
