Milford, CT (August 3, 2026) – A 12-year-old boy riding an electric bicycle suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday, August 2, along Welches Point Rd in Milford.
The collision happened at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Welches Point Rd between Midwood and Long Island View. According to the police, the child was riding the electric bicycle when he was struck from behind by a car. Emergency units closed the roadway while the crash was investigated.
Authorities said the boy was taken for treatment with life-threatening injuries. Officials arrested 60-year-old Robert Norden and charged him with operating under the influence in connection with the collision. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains active.
