According to early details, the person was traveling northbound on S. High St. and entered the intersection at Mound St. while the traffic signal was green. At the same time, a white 2016 Chrysler 300 was heading westbound on E. Mound St.

What Details Are Commonly Reviewed After a Hit-and-Run Involving an E-Bike?
After a hit-and-run involving an electric bicycle, investigators may review traffic signal timing, roadway markings, and vehicle movement through the intersection. Surveillance footage from nearby businesses or traffic cameras may also help show how the driver approached the crossing and left afterwards.
Damage left behind on the bicycle can provide clues about the vehicle involved, including its speed and direction of travel. Witness statements are frequently used to compare timelines and confirm what nearby drivers observed before and after contact occurred.
Medical findings can also help explain how the rider was thrown from the bike and the seriousness of the injuries reported. In many cases, investigators continue gathering evidence for days after the initial reports are released.
