Ventura Co., CA (August 29, 2026) – An e-bike rider was injured on Thursday afternoon, August 27, in a crash involving a vehicle at State Route 33 and Kunkle Street.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch records, the e-bike rider was crossing the street when the collision happened. The incident was first reported at approximately 3:23 p.m.
CHP later upgraded the call from a crash with unknown injuries to one requiring an ambulance response. Ventura County Fire Department crews were also notified. The crash remains under investigation.

E-bike riders have little physical protection during a collision, leaving them exposed to direct impact forces from larger vehicles.
