Dunn Loring, VA (May 29, 2026) – An e-bike rider was seriously hurt after a collision involving an electric bicycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Electric Ave in Dunn Loring on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the intersection and were on-site by about 5 p.m. following reports of the crash. The driver of the vehicle remained at the roadway after the collision and cooperated with investigators.
The cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. As of approximately 5:30 p.m., the intersection remained closed while crews conducted their investigation and directed motorists to seek alternate travel routes.
The identity of the injured rider had not been released. Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision. Our thoughts are with the injured cyclist and their loved ones during this difficult time.
