Port Huron, MI (August 18, 2026) – A 20-year-old Port Huron man was reportedly injured after an electric bicycle collided with a Jeep Compass at Pine Grove Avenue and Prospect Pl. The crash happened around 2:16 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, according to police.
Police said the man was riding southbound on the Pine Grove Avenue sidewalk at about 23 mph. He reportedly entered the intersection without stopping and rode into the path of the Jeep. First responders found the bicyclist pinned under the vehicle and removed him from beneath it.
The rider was taken to McLaren Port Huron, where he was treated for minor injuries and released. The Jeep driver was not injured. Police determined the bicyclist was at fault after he told officers he had decided to “risk it” before entering the intersection.
