Owego, NY (June 3, 2026) – One person died early Wednesday morning after a motorcycle struck a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of State Route 434 and Forest Hill Road in the Town of Owego, as said by the report.
According to New York State Police, the fatal collision happened shortly before 4 a.m. A preliminary investigation found that the SUV was traveling on Forest Hill Road and entered the intersection with Route 434. Troopers said the SUV driver did not see the motorcycle traveling on the highway before the two vehicles came together.
Emergency units attempted lifesaving efforts on the motorcyclist after arriving at the roadway, but the rider was pronounced dead at the site. The driver of the SUV was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for evaluation and treatment.
