EAST RIVERDALE, Prince George's County, MD, Sept. 27, 2026 — Six people were taken to hospitals early Saturday, September 26, after a three-vehicle crash on the southbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway at Riverdale Road, according to U.S. Park Police. One driver was later arrested.
Prince George's County Fire and EMS said crews responded around 2:42 a.m. and found multiple people trapped inside vehicles. Crews worked to free them before four patients, described as two 16-year-old girls, a 9-year-old boy and a 46-year-old woman, were taken to hospitals with injuries fire officials called serious but not life-threatening, according to department spokesperson Michael Yourishin.
U.S. Park Police said six people total were hospitalized and that none of the injuries were life-threatening. The agency has not identified anyone involved in the crash or said what led to the arrest of one of the drivers.
