EDWARDSVILLE, Madison County, Ill., Sept. 21, 2026 — A crash on the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus prompted a heavy emergency response Monday morning, September 21, and forced traffic away from part of North University Drive.
SIUE police and the Edwardsville Fire Department responded to the intersection of North University Drive and P2 Road late Monday morning, according to the university's police department. An ambulance was seen leaving the scene.
Traffic is being diverted from North University Drive onto P2 Road while crews work in the area.
