Ellendale, DE (January 30, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle collision with reported injuries at the intersection of Milton Ellendale Hwy and Spicer Rd in Sussex County early Friday morning. The crash involved three vehicles and prompted a large-scale response from Ellendale units, medics, and state police.
Initial reports indicated the possibility of entrapment, leading to an early alert for DSP Aviation Trooper 2; however, crews arriving on scene confirmed no individuals were trapped. At least three people were evaluated for injuries, though the severity has not been officially released.
Traffic was redirected in the area as responders from Ellendale (75), Slaughter Beach (89), Mid Sussex (91), and Milton (85) worked to assist those involved and secure the intersection.
Authorities continue to investigate the events leading to the collision.
