Englewood, FL (January 23, 2026) – A late afternoon traffic accident in Englewood resulted in reported injuries and brought emergency personnel to the scene on Friday.
The collision took place around 4:55 p.m. at the intersection of Drury Ln and S McCall Rd. This stretch of roadway, frequently used by local and through traffic, experienced delays as crews from Englewood Fire Station 71 arrived to assist.
Several individuals were assessed for injuries following the crash. Emergency medical teams rendered aid on site, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for additional treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been publicly released.
Both directions of traffic were temporarily impacted while the scene was managed and debris cleared. Vehicles involved in the crash were removed from the roadway, allowing traffic flow to gradually return to normal.
Officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident. No contributing factors or citations have been confirmed as of this report.
