Erie, PA (January 27, 2026) – Emergency medical services responded to Village Common Dr near Niagara Village in Erie on January 25 after a 70-year-old man involved in a traffic-related incident began experiencing difficulty breathing.
ALS 41 and EMS crews arrived at the scene near the cross streets of Zimmerly Rd and Zook Rd. The patient, who was located in an apartment following the incident, was evaluated for respiratory distress possibly connected to the motor vehicle event.
Dispatch communications indicated that EMS Unit 923 was on scene promptly, and medical personnel provided advanced life support care. The man’s current condition and whether hospital transport was required have not yet been made public.
Authorities are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the event and whether the medical emergency was caused or aggravated by the incident.
