Monroe, MI (August 22, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash on East Elm Avenue near Tremont Street that seriously injured a 60-year-old Monroe man on Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 6:11 p.m. on August 20.
According to a preliminary investigation, the man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle westbound on East Elm Avenue while approaching Tremont Street. A Ford F-150 was stopped in the roadway, also facing westbound, when the motorcyclist attempted to stop and laid the motorcycle down.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital by the F-150 driver. He arrived about two hours after the incident and was reported to be in stable condition.
