What Factors Are Commonly Reviewed After a Commercial Building Fire?
After a fire at a commercial property, investigators typically begin by examining where the flames originated and how they spread through the structure. The layout of the building, the materials stored inside, and ventilation patterns can all influence fire behavior.
Auto repair facilities usually contain equipment, tools, fuels, and other materials that may affect how quickly a fire develops. Investigators may review electrical systems, machinery, and work areas to determine whether any mechanical or electrical issues contributed to the fire.
Weather conditions can also be considered during the review process. High temperatures and airflow patterns sometimes affect fire growth and smoke movement. By studying these factors, investigators can develop a clearer picture of how the fire started and progressed through the building.
