The dangers of bicyclist collisions and hit-and-run incidents
Collisions involving bicycles can be especially severe due to the lack of protection for riders. Even low-speed impacts can result in life-threatening injuries.
Hit-and-run crashes complicate response efforts, as investigators must identify the driver and reconstruct the events leading to the crash. Safe riding practices, visibility measures like lights and reflective gear, and attentive driving are crucial to reduce the risk of serious collisions for bicyclists.
