Bethesda, MD (June 6, 2026) – Five people were taken to hospitals following a three-vehicle collision on Thursday night near River Road and Burdette Road in the vicinity of the Capital Beltway (I-495) in Bethesda.
The accident was reported at approximately 9:27 p.m. on June 4. According to available information, three vehicles were involved, and one of them overturned during the chain-reaction crash.
Three teens were inside the vehicle that rolled over. Two adults were traveling in the other vehicles involved. All five people were able to exit the damaged vehicles before emergency units arrived.
Medical personnel evaluated those involved and later took all five people to local hospitals. Names and ages beyond the confirmed teen occupants were not released following the wreck. Investigators are continuing to examine the factors that led to the collision.
