Pedestrian and Skateboarder Risks on Coastal Roadways
Roadways such as A1A and East Sunrise Boulevard often support both neighborhood access and steady through traffic. When injury accidents are reported in Fort Lauderdale, responders typically secure the area while checking on those involved.
Coastal corridors can attract both drivers and people traveling on foot or by skateboard, especially in the early morning or evening hours. These roadways may include multiple lanes and steady vehicle movement, which can affect how safely people cross or travel along the roadway.
Limited visibility during overnight hours may also increase risk. Street lighting, traffic speed, and driver awareness can influence how quickly someone on foot or on a skateboard is noticed by approaching vehicles.
