Fort Worth, TX (July 14, 2026) – A Fort Worth police officer and a teenage driver were hurt on Saturday after a collision involving a marked patrol vehicle on S Riverside Dr near the US 287 ramp.
According to investigators, the officer was traveling northbound on S Riverside Dr when a southbound pickup truck attempted to turn left onto the US 287 ramp and failed to yield the right of way. The truck struck the front driver’s side of the patrol vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The police said the teenage truck driver was charged with driving under the influence and was later released into the custody of her parents at the hospital.
The identities of those involved have not been released. Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision.
