Palm Beach County, FL (August 21, 2026) – Four people were critically injured on Thursday, August 20, after a pickup truck collided with a school bus in the 6800 block of Lantana Rd near Pioneer Rd. The school bus carried 10 students and a driver, none of whom required medical transportation.
The four people in the pickup truck had to be extricated from the vehicle. All four were placed on trauma alert and taken to a hospital for treatment.
The students were driven from the accident site to school, where a school nurse met them. Their principal said all 10 students were safe, while counseling resources were made available for students who wanted support after the wreck. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under review.
