Hart County, GA (July 18, 2026) – The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a four-vehicle collision that left multiple people injured on Thursday, July 16, on Ga. Highway 8 near Well Road in Hart County. Emergency units responded to the scene around 10 a.m. following the collision.
According to the crash report, a westbound 2007 Pontiac Torrent was traveling behind a 1997 Ford Explorer when it struck the Ford. The impact caused the Ford to rotate and hit a stopped 2013 Hyundai Elantra that was waiting to turn left onto Well Rd. The Ford then overturned into the eastbound lane, where it was struck by an eastbound 2018 Toyota Sienna.
The Ford driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, along with the Toyota driver, were taken to AnMed Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Royston Hwy was closed for several hours before reopening around 1:30 p.m.
