San Jose, CA (July 30, 2026) – A four-vehicle crash blocked multiple lanes along northbound US-101 just south of the Story Road off-ramp in San Jose on July 29. Initial reports indicated that four vehicles were involved, including a silver Toyota Tundra, a black Mercedes-Benz SUV, a green Mazda SUV, and a black Toyota SUV.
As emergency units worked on the roadway, updated reports identified extensive damage to several vehicles. A silver SUV and a gray Honda SUV were reported with major rear-end damage, while a Toyota Tundra and a black SUV also suffered significant front-end damage. Dispatch logs later confirmed that four vehicles were involved, and at least one person required medical attention. Three northbound lanes were temporarily closed, leaving only the far-right lane open while crews cleared the roadway and arranged for multiple tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles.
The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
