Fresno, CA (January 10, 2026) – A traffic collision involving multiple individuals was reported Friday evening on eastbound Highway 180 near Fowler Ave in Fresno. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided assistance to several people following the crash, which involved a white Nissan Altima and a cement divider on the right-hand shoulder.
The incident occurred around 5:25 p.m. Dispatch communications initially classified the collision as a possible injury crash under California Highway Patrol code 1183. A follow-up report confirmed that the crash involved minor injuries under code 1181, with at least eight individuals transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
The Nissan Altima sustained front-end damage after striking the divider. Paramedics assessed the occupants for complaints of pain, and although no life-threatening injuries were reported, the number of people involved prompted a broader medical response.
Traffic in the area was slowed as responders secured the scene and coordinated patient transport. CHP officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash, which occurred just west of Peach Ave.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected in this collision. We hope for their continued recovery and well-being.
