How residential fires can spread and impact families
House fires often begin in small areas such as garages, kitchens, or electrical equipment and can spread quickly if not contained. Even early morning fires can displace multiple people, including children, due to smoke and structural damage.
Firefighters work to extinguish flames and protect neighboring homes, but families may still need temporary housing and assistance after a fire. Smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and quick evacuation plans are critical tools for keeping residents safe and minimizing damage.
