Bay Co., FL (June 25, 2026) – Two people died, and another was seriously hurt on Wednesday afternoon, June 24, after a sedan and garbage truck collision on Highway 20 in Bay County. The wreck happened near Gainer Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the garbage truck was stopped in the roadway while workers were picking up trash. A sedan with three people inside then hit the back of the truck.
A 68-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman in the sedan were killed. A third passenger from Marianna was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Authorities are reviewing the collision on Highway 20.
