Genesee Twp, MI (January 23, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a structure fire involving possible entrapment early on Thursday morning at a residence located on Melrose Ln within the Highlands Mobile Home Park.
The incident was reported at approximately 6:10 a.m. on January 22. According to dispatch information, fire crews were called to the scene after reports of a home engulfed in flames, with at least one individual possibly trapped inside. Responding firefighters worked urgently to contain the blaze and conduct a search and rescue operation.
Additional support units were brought in to assist due to the nature of the fire and the potential for injuries. At this time, the number of people inside the home and the extent of any injuries have not been officially confirmed.
