Phoenix, AZ (August 27, 2026) – A girl was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday, August 25, near Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, according to police.
The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, southwest of the school. Phoenix police said the driver remained at the scene after the collision.
The girl was fighting for her life following the crash. Investigators have not released information about what led up to the collision.
