Harrisburg, PA (January 27, 2026) – An early morning accident on I-83 southbound near the 13th St on-ramp resulted in reported injuries and significant vehicle damage. Emergency responders arrived around 5:00 a.m. to find three vehicles off the roadway and debris scattered across the lanes.
According to initial dispatch reports, the collision occurred just before the Second St exit, with vehicles positioned along the far right shoulder and some debris possibly extending into the middle lane. County Squad 8 and other units worked to assess the scene and determine the extent of injuries sustained.
Though responders noted injuries at the scene, full details regarding the number and condition of those hurt have not yet been released. Wagon 3 and Tower 1 were among the units assisting in clearing the area and rendering aid.
The southbound lanes of I-83 experienced partial disruption during the response, but all vehicles were reported to be off the main lanes shortly after arrival. Crews remained on site for cleanup and investigation.
