North Canaan, CT (August 12, 2026) – A head-on crash on South Canaan Road in North Canaan left five people injured, several of them seriously, on Monday, August 10. One person was trapped and required a prolonged extrication following the collision.
Multiple LIFE STAR helicopters were requested to the scene. One crew landed in an open field near the crash, while another operated a scene intercept at Sharon Hospital. South Canaan Road was expected to remain closed for an extended period while the crash scene was examined.
