Harrison County, WV (August 30, 2026) – A driver was injured and transported to United Hospital Center following a head-on collision in the early hours of Friday, August 28, on U.S. Route 50 near Flinderation Road in Harrison County. The accident occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m.
According to preliminary information, 911 operators received reports of a vehicle traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 50 West. Before officers could arrive, the vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle in a construction zone. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison County EMS, Salem Fire Department, and Nutter Fort Fire Department responded to the scene.
One driver was transported to United Hospital Center for treatment. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision and the injured driver’s condition were not immediately available. The investigation remains ongoing.
