The accident was first reported just before 7:15 a.m., initially drawing a response to the nearby intersection of Laburnum Ave and Mechanicsville Trnpk. Crews later confirmed the crash impacted the area at Laburnum Ave and Harris Ave, where all westbound lanes were shut down for several hours.
