Fontana, CA (August 12, 2026) – A hit-and-run crash with injuries was reported on northbound Interstate 15 near Summit Avenue in Fontana on Monday, August 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash initially involved a white Toyota Camry and a red sedan. The incident was later upgraded from a hit-and-run without injuries to a hit-and-run with injuries.
The white Toyota Camry was reported in the center divider, while the red Toyota Camry was reported on the left side of the Summit Avenue offramp. Debris was scattered across the roadway.
A 90-year-old person was reportedly unable to get out of the vehicle. Two people were transported for medical evaluation, according to the incident report.
Tow trucks were requested for the vehicles, and the California Highway Patrol and Freeway Service Patrol responded to the scene. The investigation into the hit-and-run remains ongoing.
