Walnut Grove, CA (June 24, 2026) – One person was injured on Wednesday afternoon, June 24, after a hit-and-run accident near Thornton Road and Walnut Grove Road. The first report was logged at 2:18 p.m. in the parking lot of a Chevron gas station.
Initial information listed a semi-truck as the suspect vehicle. Later updates described it as a white Penske truck.
The truck was reported to have hit multiple vehicles in the parking lot, including a white Nissan SUV, a black sedan, and a white pickup. A later update said the driver got back into the vehicle and fled after striking three parked cars.
Reports said the truck left southbound on Interstate 5 and was last seen westbound on Walnut Grove Road. One person was reported injured.
