Honey Creek, IA (July 30, 2026) – Two people were killed after a semi-truck crashed along Interstate 29 near Honey Creek on Wednesday morning, July 29. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the fatal crash occurred on northbound I-29 near Exit 66, just south of Honey Creek.
Investigators said a semi-truck was traveling north when it left the roadway, struck cable barriers, and entered the median. Authorities have not released what caused the truck to leave the interstate.
The victims were identified as 64-year-old Charles Grandpre of Salina, Kansas, and 49-year-old Angela Blackwood of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Both died as a result of the crash.
No additional information about the circumstances of the collision or whether anyone else was injured has been released. The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
