Falmouth, MA (July 25, 2026) – A man in his 70s was killed after a fire broke out at a single-family home on Red Brook Road in Falmouth on Friday morning, July 24. Emergency units responded to the area shortly before 6:30 a.m. after a neighbor reported the fire.
According to officials, firefighters arrived and found flames coming from the rear of the home and heavy smoke coming from the front entrance. With assistance from police officers, firefighters removed the man from the residence and immediately began life-saving measures. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity has not been released, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death. The home was considered a total loss after the fire was extinguished. Still, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
