Houston, TX (January 14, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a crash with reported injuries Tuesday morning at the intersection of Westside Pkwy and Merchants Way in the Houston area. The incident was first reported just before noon and involved two vehicles, including a white Dodge Journey and a maroon Ford Explorer.
According to initial dispatch reports, a female occupant sustained an injury that did not involve a head impact but required medical attention due to irritation in her eye. Firefighters and sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, providing immediate assistance and ensuring safety in the area.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities. Both vehicles sustained damage, with airbags deployed in at least one of the cars. No other injuries were reported at the time of the response.
