Ririe, ID (June 23, 2026) – A 44-year-old Idaho Falls woman lost her life in a two-vehicle crash on US 26 west, close to 130th Road East, in Ririe, on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency units responded to the area near milepost 349 on westbound US 26 at approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 20, after receiving reports of a collision involving two vehicles. Official findings indicate that a 2007 Toyota Tundra traveling westbound while pulling a utility trailer collided with a 2017 Honda Accord.
According to the Police, the Honda was also traveling westbound when the driver attempted to make a left turn and was struck by the Toyota. The Honda driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Toyota driver, a 37-year-old man from Ammon, and three juvenile passengers were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the loved ones of the deceased.
