What Information Is Often Reviewed in Wheelchair Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Cases?
Hit-and-run crashes involving pedestrians in wheelchairs are often reviewed by examining visibility, roadway lighting, and traffic flow at the time of the incident. Investigators may assess whether the wheelchair user was in a marked crossing area or traveling along the roadside when the collision occurred.
Physical evidence such as debris, skid marks, and damage patterns can help determine the point of impact and direction of travel. Surveillance footage from nearby intersections or businesses is often important in identifying vehicles that leave the scene.
Officials may also review timing and traffic conditions to understand how quickly the crash unfolded and whether the driver had time to react before leaving the area.
