Santa Fe Springs, CA (July 20, 2026) – At least one person was hurt in a hit-and-run on Florence Ave near Orr and Day Rd in Santa Fe Springs on July 17. Initial dispatch information indicated the call was upgraded from a hit-and-run without injuries to a hit-and-run involving injuries shortly after 7:10 p.m.
Emergency units were requested to the roadway near the northbound Interstate 5 connection just south of Florence Ave after the report was updated to reflect that someone had been injured. The driver involved in the hit-and-run reportedly left before the arrival of assistance.
The number of people involved and the extent of the injuries have not been released. The cause of the hit-and-run remains under investigation as more information is gathered.
