Sacramento, CA (June 6, 2026) – Minor injuries were reported following a three-vehicle accident on southbound I-5 just south of Richards Boulevard in Sacramento on Thursday afternoon.
Dispatch records show the roadway collision was first reported shortly after 1:00 p.m. Initial information indicated a red 2025 Ford Explorer was involved, along with two other vehicles. One report later described a white Dodge and a red SUV among the vehicles connected to the crash, while the third vehicle was not immediately identified.
The encounter affected at least one traffic lane and the center divide area. Tow trucks were requested for a Ram 1500 with front-end damage and a red Ford Explorer with rear-end damage. By 1:53 p.m., the report was updated to indicate injuries.
